Gabriele Gross

With a dual career as a Veterinarian and Equine Nutritionist, Dr. Gabriele Gross ("Dr. Gabi") serves the Equine Industry as an educator and consultant. Dr. Gabi received her Veterinary Degree in 1987 in Hannover, Germany, followed by two years of academia and research at the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy at the same Veterinary University, where she was an assistant professor. Dr. Gross obtained a PhD in 1989 and then went into practice. Her Veterinary practice specialized in endocrine disorders and other areas of Equine internal Medicine. After retiring from Veterinary practice, Dr. Gross has focused on Equine Nutrition including launching and owning her own supplement company with a line called "Equolution". She developed and formulated the majority of her natural and herbal products based on self-financed field studies. Today, Dr. Gross offers various online classes, seminars and consultations in Equine healthcare and nutrition for Veterinarians, Equestrians and businesses in the Equine industry. In her function as a horse health consultant, Dr. Gabi has worked with horses of Olympic riders such as Will Simpson and Steffen Peters, celebrity horses such as the horse from "Zorro the Movie" and others. From 2004-2008 she owned a Thoroughbred racing stable in partnership with Kentucky Derby winner and Hall of Fame trainer, the late Jack van Berg. 

As for her private life, Dr. Gabi has raised two boys in single parenthood. They tragically lost their father when they were two and four years old. With the boys being adults today, Dr. Gross enjoys ballroom dancing, gym workouts, oil painting and traveling.
